The sun has not risen
But that hasn’t stopped
All of the Gryffindors
From rolling up out
No one is still asleep
They’re up on their feet
Screaming, rejoicing
Even before the feast
Stacks of gifts on the beds
Tall to their heads
It may have been a silent night
But this is now day
Texts, games, brooms
Sweaters, and candy too
People are excited about
What they’ll be able to use
Happy for the gifts got
Trying their things out
Saying Happy Christmas
To all that will listen
Excited for the food
Coming out of the kitchen
Hoping their friends received
All the joy they need
So they could get through the day
